Wineries On the Saanich Peninsula
The Saanich Peninsula and Victoria boast the most mildest climate in Canada. Summer time is reliably sunny and warm, with tempuratures often reaching to the mid to high 20′s or around 75 to 80 fahrenheit. A large selection of award winning Vancouver Island wineries are located on the Saanich Peninsula and Cowichan Valley. Many offer tours, such as Verjus Winery Tours or self guided visits at the individual sites with wine tasting.
As a visitor to the Cedarwood Inn & Suites you will be surprised at the number and quality of wineries the are just minutes by car from our property. Taste some of Canada’s best wines at such wineries such as, Domanie Rochette Winery (6.6km), Marley Farms Winery (8.3km), Muse Winery (9.2km), Church & State (12.1km), De Vine Winery(13.4km), Dragon Fly Hill (13.6km) and Starling Lane Winery (16.8km). There are also wineries on some of the local small islands, which you could visit by ferry on a day trip from the hotel. Some notable options are: on Saturna Island visit the Saturna Island Family Estate Winery or on Saltspring Island visit the Garry Oaks Winery.
