Long-term Stays

The Cedarwood Inn and Suites offer reduced rates to those very special winter guests who choose to stay with us for extended periods of time. Many of our guests come year after year, often reserving a year or more in advance and requesting the same suite for the same time period. January, February and March are always the most popular months, and we therefore recommend making early reservations in order to avoid disappointment.

Our winter clientele are extremely important to us, and our property has been designed with you specifically in mind. When making enquires, please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any special needs or requests in advance and we will make every effort to ensure your stay with us is an enjoyable as possible.

It is always our pleasure to welcome new visitors to The Cedarwood each winter. We hope we can provide each of our guests with all the comforts of a "home away from home."

We offer a warm welcome to small pets in some of our rooms. There is open space on our property to exercise your pet, plus walks on the local beach. We respectfully request all pet owners to follow the usual "stoop and scoop" rules. We do ask for a nominal weekly or monthly fee for any visiting pets. ("Pet charges")

Important Long-term Information

Weekly Rates

Weekly discounted rates apply during the winter and midseason. They are calculated on a seven to twenty nine day stay. Should you wish to stay longer than twenty-nine days, monthly rates would then apply.

To confirm a weekly reservation, we need a valid credit card number, the expiry date and the name on the card. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners' Enroute. Interac is also an acceptable method of payment, but cannot be used to confirm a reservation.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping and clean bed linen will be provided every four days. We will supply fresh towels and coffee every day if needed, and also dispose of any garbage you may have. We will vacuum and dust for you mid-week if you desire.

Laundry Facilities

We have a coin-operated laundry for our guests' use. Most of our suites have irons and ironing boards provided.

Cancellations for a Weekly Reservation

We request at least one week's notice of a cancellation without penalty. When you cancel your reservation, we will issue you a cancellation number. Should you cancel your reservation after the seven days' cancellation time, there would be a penalty charge of the first and last night's stay.

Monthly Rates

Monthly reservations are based on a stay of thirty days. Many of our guests choose to stay for sixty days. This entitles them to exemption from paying the 8% P.S.T. tax. (Note: we do not charge the 2% Hotel Tax applicable in many areas.)

To confirm a monthly reservation we request a $300.00 non-refundable deposit. Deposits can be paid either by cheque or credit card. On receipt of your deposit, we will send you a receipt and letter of confirmation. All deposits are applied to your first month's rent.

Housekeeping

Our monthly guests are offered housekeeping and clean bed linen once a week, with fresh towels and garbage collection twice a week. Arrangements for this can be decided between you and your housekeeper, after you have settled in.

Phone Charges

We offer free local telephone calls to our monthly guests.

Daily Newspaper

There are free daily newspapers in our front office for all guests.

Cancellations

Cancellation of a confirmed long-term monthly reservation would mean forfeiture of your $300.00 deposit.
