Often when we’re traveling, we want to make sure we can enjoy our vacation with all members of our family, and this includes our pets. Staying at a pet friendly hotel means not only enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of a new place like Sidney, but also saving money on kenneling costs and preserving your peace of mind. We are a Sidney waterfront hotel, perfect for walks.
In our experience, most people like to travel with dogs, and Sidney is a dog walker’s paradise.
For one thing, we are just across the street from Bazan Bay, a long sand and peddle beach that stretches for about a mile to the south, parallel to Lochside Drive.
While your dog may like it, you will also likely encounter bald eagles, seals, and even the occasional visiting whale. It’s a fantastic place for a morning walk.
The Cedarwood is also located about fifteen minutes’ walk from downtown Sidney, and bringing a dog along for a trip into town is a sure way to make new friends – of any species!
We’re pleased to offer an assortment of rooms, suites and even cottages for you and your pets.
Dogs are required to be on leash and under control at all times, and we ask that dogs be kept out of main hotel/lobby area for the comfort of other guests. We would also prefer it if you did not leave your pet unattended in your room. If you need to run an errand and cannot bring your pet, please let us know so we can help you out!
